THE MORAWETZ CLAN

(Sung to the tune of "The Titanic")

1. There was a man named Richard.
Morawetz was his name.
And courting fine young ladies
Was one of his favourite games.
But then Frida came along
And they sang a sweet love song.
Thus began THE MORAWETZ CLAN forevermore.

CHORUS:
THE MORAWETZ CLAN, THE MORAWETZ CLAN
1914 was the year it all began.
(They joined hands together).
Herbert did start,
Then, Oskar made his mark,
Then came John and Sonja joined along.

2. Well, as we said before,
Herbert w-as the start.
He had many varied interests,
One of which was art.
But then chemistry took the reins,
As did Cat, the prettiest of dames
Thus went on THE MORAWETZ CLAN forevermore.

REPEAT CHORUS

3. Well, Oskar was a trickster;
He loved to fool around.
But when it came to music,
He made a lovely sound.
His harmonic intuition
Found Ruth, a fellow musician
Thus went on THE MORAWETZ CLAN forevermore.

REPEAT CHORUS

4. Every family needs a sportsman
and John sure fits the bill.
He swung that tennis racquet
With the utmost grace and skill.
In Ireland he made a pass
For a beautiful Irish lass.
Thus went on THE MORAWETZ CLAN forevermore.

REPEAT CHORUS

5. Well, finally something out-of-sight,
A young lady hit the scene,
With literary talents,
The sights of which unseen
In Canada she dated men,
In Rick she found her gem.
Thus went on THE MORAWETZ CLAN forevermore.

REPEAT CHORUS (twice)
