FINE CAMERA WORK IS PUT ON DISPLAY

"People as I Saw Them" Shown in Portrait Studies by Czech Artist

"People As I Saw Them" is the title given by Richard Morawetz, a Czechoslovakian, now resident in Toronto, to the exceedingly attractive collection of camera studies - his own work - now hanging in the Avon Galleries of the Robert Simpson Co., Ltd.

Mr. Morawetz has been especially successful with his portrait studies of young children. He has caught them wearing their most engaging expressions and in most delightfully natural poses. Furthermore this amateur artist with a camera has been very skilful in achieving his highlights.

While the studies of children are the most appealing, Mr. Morawetz has also been successful with his portraits of adult friends, including some of Toronto's outstanding musicians.

Rather in a class by itself is the Western Indian camp scene, an Indian woman in the foreground, with a solemn-eyed papoose peering over her shoulder. This is a quite unusual camera record.
