Dvorak Honored By Czechs On Anniversary
A galaxy of talent assembled at Eaton Auditorium Saturday night, under the auspices
of the Czechoslovak National Association of Canada, to honor the 120th anniversary of Antonin Dvorak's birth.
The talented group included pianist-conductor Walter Susskind, pianist-composer Oskar
Morawetz, violinist Charles Dobias and singers Ilona Kombrink and Jan Rube. Musical Toronto,
it seems, owes a particular debt to the Czechs.

[Mr. Susskind] was joined by Dr. Morawetz (who had given a vigorous and well-shaped account of the piano part of the Sonatina) in a group of the celebrated Slavonic Dances; they achieved total unanimity and enjoyed themselves immensely.
