On behalf of the Government of Ontario, I am pleased to extend warm
congratulations to you as a recipient of the Order of Ontario on the very
first occasion that this honour has been bestowed.
The Order of Ontario was created for the purpose of acknowledging the
achievements of Ontario citizens and recognizing their outstanding
contributions to our quality of life as a province. You can take
tremendous pride in the distinction which this award represents as well as
the high regard in which you are held by the people of Ontario.
I was deeply moved by the presentation ceremony and impressed by the high
