The main interest for the more experienced listeners lay in the UK premiere
of the Sonata for clarinet and piano (1981) by Oskar Morawetz. This is a

of the altissimo. It is clearly impressionistic in character and consists of a
single movement with several sections and changes of tempo and mood. It exists
in both an original and a revised version.
