composer Oskar Morawetz. The work achieves a mood of contemporary romanticism, particularly in the warm lyricism of the slow middle section.
A wide variety of themes contributes to a skillful use of counterpoint and the Divertimento is further blessed by an avoidance of disturbing dissonances. For the
record it should be noted that it was given a warmer reception than is usually
